Intensive therapy is more hours of therapy packed into a shorter amount of time. Sessions may be half or full days, with multiple sessions in a week or month. This allows time and space for deeper emotional work without the "start and go" feeling of having to end on time and wait another week before coming back to the conversation. People usually experience longer therapy sessions as gentler, spacious, grounding, and safer for experiencing difficult emotions.
*Intensive therapy is a seperate service from typical hourly psychotherapy and currently not covered by insurance plans.
